WordPress hosting provides the server environment where your website runs. Website care covers ongoing work on the site itself, such as WordPress and plugin updates, security checks and content changes included in a plan. I offer both services and will explain what each covers. Read about website care plans.

Hosting and ongoing care
Hosting and website care, with one point of contact.
Hosting provides the place your website runs. A care plan covers ongoing work on WordPress itself, such as updates and checks. I can help with both and explain what’s included in each.
Questions about managed hosting
Yes, I can help move a WordPress website to my hosting after reviewing the current setup. We’ll plan the transfer, check the site on its new hosting and agree when to switch the domain settings. Any email connections or other dependencies need checking before the move.
You do not necessarily need to transfer your domain registration or email when changing website hosting. These services can remain with separate providers. I’ll check the domain settings and email arrangements first so we can plan which settings need changing and which should stay as they are.
I quote for managed WordPress hosting after reviewing your website and its requirements. I’ll explain the ongoing hosting cost and whether any migration or setup work is charged separately. Website care is a separate service unless we agree to include it in your arrangement.
You contact me directly for questions about your WordPress hosting. I’ll investigate hosting issues and explain any action needed. We’ll agree the support arrangements before setup, including how to get in touch and what is covered.
